The national strategy for demographic development of the population in the Republic of Bulgaria for the period from the year 2012 until the year 2030 is a basic document that formulates the priority directions and tasks in the field of demographic policy aimed at slowing down the rate of population decline with a tendency to stabilize it in the long term and ensuring high quality of human capital, including people with their health status, education qualification, abilities and skills.
