Agreement between Countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council on the protection of wildlife and its natural habitants ratified by Legislative Decree No. 9 of 2002.

The aim of this Agreement is to protect the ecosystem and wildlife in the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). It is composed of 13 articles. Articles 1 gives terms and definitions. Articles 2 and 3 deal with the protection of natural habitants and wildlife. Article 4 allows to all Parties to take necessary measures in order to control the trade in wildlife species and products. Article 5 contains supplementary provisions. Articles 6 and 7 decree the establishment of the Permanent Committee and its Secretariat for the implementation of this Agreement. Articles 8 and 9 pertain to amendments and dispute settlements. Articles 10 to 13 contain general provisions.
