Decision No.4 of 2024 regarding the prohibition of exporting fish, shrimp and other marine life and the regulations for exporting crabs, lobsters and jellyfish.

This Resolution, comprising 6 Articles, regulates the export of all locally produced fish, shrimp, and other marine organisms by prohibiting their export in any form - whether fresh, chilled, frozen, salted, or smoked - while permitting the export of farmed products thereof. Article 2 permits companies wholly owned by Bahraini partners to export crab and jellyfish, provided that the catch is verified to have been made in accordance with the law and using permitted methods. The export of crab and jellyfish shall not be permitted except after ensuring that local market needs are met (Article 3). Penalties for violations are stipulated in Decree-Law No. 20 of 2002.
