This Government Program spans from 2023 to 2026 and is dedicated to sustainability, competitiveness, and fairness, aiming to execute development initiatives to exemplary standards. It aspires to enhance Bahrain's leadership and innovation across various domains, promoting teamwork with the ethos of "Love challenge and passion for achievement". Emphasis is placed on collaboration among the executive, legislative, and private sectors. Program directives prioritize citizen aspirations, development objectives, service sustainability, quality enhancement, technology adoption, environmental conservation, and resource sustainability to propel advancement across sectors. The main objectives to be achieved by the 2026 are (i) creating diverse and high-quality opportunities for citizens across multiple sectors; (ii) strengthening community security to bolster developmental and prosperity initiatives; (iii) developing financial and economic assistance programs to enhance the efficiency of support allocation, ensuring citizens' basic needs are met while safeguarding their right to a dignified life and preserving their achievements; (iv) supporting comprehensive development initiatives by transitioning to a high value-added economic model; (v) continuing efforts to achieve fiscal balance program goals, while implementing policies to increase citizens' incomes; (vi) enhancing partnerships with the private sector to foster comprehensive development, ensuring the creation of promising prospects for citizens; (vii) safeguarding natural resources and wealth through sustainable development and proper investment, and supporting global endeavors to combat climate change; (viii) continuing to enhance government service performance, quality, and sustainability for citizens; (ix) advancing the progress of Bahraini women and their involvement in public life and the national economy; (x) equipping the youth and sports sector with the necessary capabilities to amplify its role in development and success.
The program outlines four key priorities aimed at advancing the welfare and prosperity of the nation and its citizens. Firstly, it aims to enhance citizens' living standards and safeguard their livelihoods by optimizing social support systems and protecting retirees. Secondly, it seeks to ensure justice, security, and stability by reinforcing constitutional rights and freedoms and updating legislation to meet evolving development needs. Thirdly, the program focuses on fostering economic recovery and sustainable development through infrastructure enhancement, food security measures, climate change adaptation, and efficient commercial procedures. Lastly, it aims to provide high-quality and competitive government services by improving education and training, promoting scientific research, enhancing healthcare services, and empowering the media to align with national priorities. These priorities are pursued through six main pillars: elevating living standards, reinforcing sovereignty and legislation, developing infrastructure and environmental sustainability, promoting economic recovery and financial sustainability, enhancing community services, and improving governmental performance through digital transformation.
