Abstract
This Law amends some provisions of the Sea Law of 1982. Specifically: in arts. 2 and 296 the Minister of Finance and National Economy is replaced by the Minister competent for maritime Transport and Navigation.
Art. 8 introduces the possibility by the owners of the ship of appealing to the High Court against any decisions within 15 days in cases of common property.
Art. 44 modifies the rules relating to marine debt. Art. 117 deals with the costs of the rent of the place in the port in specified situations.
A new paragraph is added to art. 187 related to cases of exemption from the obligation to guide ships in Bahrain ports that can be established by the Minister.
