Abstract
This Law consisting of 15 articles aims at establishing registration rules for the marine units with a total tonnage of 150 tons whatever is the purpose of their use. The Coast Guard Command of the Ministry of Interior is responsible for the registration of small vessels and the establishment of a special registry (small boats that form part of the ship or vessel equipment are excluded). All the small ships claimed under the flag of the Kingdom of Bahrain need to be registered, except for the Kingdom-owned vessels for public service. Upon completion of registration, shall be issued a registration certificate for a small vessel, including all the data on the ship's page in the register of small vessels. Registered ships shall not be claimed in the territorial waters of Bahrain except after obtaining a navigation license valid for one year, possibly to be annually renewed. The Minister of the Interior shall, after the approval of the Council of Ministers, issue a decision specifying the categories of fees due for issuing, ratifying or extending any certificate or document. The Coast Guard may at any time inspect any ships.
