Resolution No. 1 of 1998 on environmental impact assessments.

The aim of this Resolution is to protect the environment against pollution. The present Decree is composed of 5 Chapters divided into 21 articles and 2 Annexes. Chapter 1 deals with terms and definitions. Chapter 2 provides for projects subject to environmental impact assessments. Chapter 3 specifies the bases and procedures for environmental impact assessments. Chapter 4 pertains to environmental licences. Chapter 5 contains general provisions. Annexes I and II contain the list of projects which necessitate an environmental impact assessment.
