Abstract
This Resolution, consisting of 6 articles, aims to support biosecurity and disease control, ensure animal health, improve livestock safety, and minimize improper practices in animal production facilities. Key biosecurity measures for these facilities include: testing new animals for diseases before introducing them to the herd, disinfecting incoming vehicles, securing facilities with appropriate fencing, storing feed safely, disclosing animal sources, administering annual vaccinations, disposing of animal waste responsibly, protecting animals from extreme weather, controlling parasites, cleaning facilities regularly, managing stagnant water and weeds, separating animals by type and age, ensuring workers wear safety gear, controlling pests, disposing of manure properly, isolating sick animals, maintaining good ventilation, securely storing cleaning supplies, providing adequate feeding and watering stations, and ensuring access to electricity and clean water. Additionally, the facility owner or manager must comply with national environmental, health, and safety standards, implement approved disease control programs, retain operational records for at least three years, only sell products after drug withdrawal periods, quarantine new animals for a minimum of 14 days, isolate sick or treated animals until recovery, report any unusual animal deaths or suspected contagious diseases immediately, conduct regular medical checks on staff, and suspend any staff suspected of illness until cleared, notifying authorities if infection is confirmed or suspected.
