Resolution no. 5 of 1977 regulating the collection, transportation and disposal of waste.

This Resolution is composed of 12 articles. Article 1 decrees the absolutely prohibition to throw or place waste, rubbish, garbage, filth, sweepings, dirty water, trash and dumping dirt in places other than specified by the Municipal Authority in agreement with the Department of Public Health. Article 2 imposes on occupants or owners of buildings, shops, public utilities, commercial and industrial houses, coffeehouses and night clubs to conserve waste, rubbish, garbage, sweepings and dirt in containers with hermitic seal. Article 3 deals with requirements for rubbish bins and trash containers. Articles 8 to 9 contain offences and penalties.
