Abstract
This Resolution consisting of 3 articles aims at issuing the Regulation of Fishing Ports in Bahrain. The Regulation consists of 47 articles divided in VI Sections.
Section I, Definitions and General Provisions, establishes an advisory Committee for Ports headed by the Manager of fishery resources and indicates its tasks. This Section deals also with general rules to be observed in the ports such as swimming, fishing, entry and exit from the port, fish marketing and food safety, rules for workers.
Section II, Protection of Fishing Ports, lists the actions prohibited within the ports.
Section III, Regulation of anchoring of fishing vessels, deals with rules for anchoring, throwing anchor, needed equipment, entry and exit.
Section IV, Boats not equipped for fishing, indicates cases and conditions to be met to allow an amateur ship to enter the port.
Section V, Competencies of the management, deals with all operations related to the docking of ships, services activities, daily bulletin on the state of the sea, follow-up fish trading within the harbor, fishing and fishing vessels licensing, licenses for fish marketing, emergency management.
