Fresh/cold Fish Import License conditions under Chapter 8(1) of the Fiheries Order, 2009.

Abstract
This Regulation, consisting of 13 articles, provides for the rules to be met to import both fresh or chilled fish, in particular, it establishes that (i) importers must be registered with the Fisheries Department of the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism; (ii) they must have a valid fresh/chilled fish import license; (iii) imported fish species must be included in the ones listed in the approved fish import license application; (iv) they must comply with the fish disease control measures; (v) imported fresh/chilled fish originating from fish farm sources must be from authorized suppliers and must have a Health Certificate issued by the Competent Authority of the exporting country; (vi) they must ensure that all consignments meet the handling and packaging conditions. Article 4 lists the fresh/chilled fish the importation of which is prohibited, namely (i) some small fish (listed in detail), all types of shellfish from areas affected by the occurrence of red water; (ii) fish caught using explosives, chemicals, poisons; (iii) all species of sharks.
