Abstract
This Order, consisting of 80 sections divided into nine Parts and completed by three Schedules, establishes the requirements to be met in order to protect and register plant varieties. In addition, it deals with granting protection, or any other procedure relating to a grant of plant protection. In particular it specifies that fees in the First and Second Schedules shall be payable to the Registrar in respect of the matters specified in the respective Schedules, documents to be filled out (Part I on Preliminary); Application for Grant of Protection, Representation of plant variety, Evidence in support of objection or registration (Part II on Grant of Protection); Entry in register of particulars of application, grant of protection and other matters (Part III on Register); Payment of annual fee and submission of information (Part IV on Annual fee); Cancellation or Renunciation (Part V); Evidence and Procedures (Part VI); Application for costs (Part VII); Extension of time (Part VIII); General (Part IX). The Schedules specify fees and taxation requirements.
