Public Health (Food) (Amendment) Regulations, 2020 (S047).

These Regulations, consisting of 5 articles, aim to enhance Brunei's food safety framework by ensuring that all food products comply with health standards before import or manufacture. They amend the original text by (i) adding "registration of prepacked food" after the word "licences" in Regulation 3; (ii) replacing Regulation 19 with two provisions that prohibit importing food without a licence or permit and manufacturing or importing prepacked food without registration; (iii) inserting Regulation 19B to limit food additives according to the Codex Alimentarius Commission; (iv) replacing the term "Director" with "Authority"; and (v) revising the First Schedule concerning fees for food-related operations.
