Abstract
This Act, consisting of 26 sections divided into six Parts, completed by three Schedules, and under the article 83(3) of the Constitution, aims at establishing the Safety, Health and Environment National Authority. It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned Authority, entitled to perform the following activities: a) regulate in respect of workplace safety and health, environment and radiation matters; b) make recommendations to the Government on national needs and policies in respect of workplace safety and health, environment and radiation matters; c) collaborate with other public bodies with similar or related functions; d) undertake licensing, provision of consultancy services and promote safety and health, environment and radiation matters in workplace; e) make recommendations to the Government on related matters; f) represent the Government internationally on matters related to or connected with the workplace safety and health, environment and radiation, etc.
