Abstract
This National Sanitary Surveillance Board Resolution, consisting of 5 articles and two Annexes, approves the Technical Regulation on Packaged Food Labelling. This Technical Regulation applies to the labelling of any food that is marketed, whatever its origin, packed, and ready to be offered to the consumer. In cases where the particular characteristics of food require specific regulation, it applies in a complementary way to the provisions of this Technical Regulation. If specific technical regulations do not state something contrary, the labelling of packaged food must obligatorily provide the following information: Name of the food seller; List of ingredients; Net content; Identification of the origin; Name or business name and address of the importer, (if imported food); Batch identification; Expiration; and Instructions on the preparation and use of the food.
