Abstract
This Complementary Law amends Complementary Law No. 13 on fishing activities, aquaculture and aquatic animal protection. Amended articles deal with the following issues: Art. 4 defines sport fishing, as the one practiced for leisure and sport purposes, distinguishing itself from the amateur, by the "fish and let loose" system, only with the use of barbless hooks, allowing only the consumption by the participants, at the place of the fishing; Art. 8 deals with licensing requirements which shall limit the catch, local consumption and transport of the fish to 5 kg per person, in the fishing modalities allowed in art. 5 of this Complementary Law. Except for scientific fishing, previously authorized by the competent environmental agency, within the State of Tocantins; fish products coming from aquaculture duly authorized and/or licensed by the competent environmental agency, with proof of origin, in accordance with art. 6 of this Complementary Law.
