Decree of 8 October 2004 declaring of social interest, for the purposes of the agrarian reform, some properties in the States of Bahia, Paraíba, Piauí, and São Paulo .

This Decree, composed of 4 articles, declares of social interest, for the purposes of the agrarian reform, the following rural properties: "Fazenda Canaã, Barreiras e Malhadinha", in the Municipality of Pindobaçu, Bahia State; "Junco, Lagoa das Cinzas, Lagoa do Sapo e Timbaúba", in the Municipality of Esperança, Paraíba State; "Fazenda Cabeço", in the Municipalities of Pocinhos, Algodão de Jandaíra and Esperança, Paraíba State; "Fazenda Nova", in the Municipality of Teresina, Piauí State; "Fazenda Santa Terezinha", in the Municipality of Taubaté, São Paulo State. The Decree establishes the competence of the National Institute for the Agriculture Reform (INCRA) to promote and supervise the expropriation of the aforementioned rural lands.
