Abstract
This Decree-Law, consisting of 50 articles divided into ten Chapters, establishes the Mineral Water Code. It establishes that research of mineral, thermal, gaseous, table or spa bathing waters shall be regulated by the provisions of Chapter II of the Mining Code, subject to special provisions. In addition, it specifies the procedures to: research a source of mineral, thermal, gas, table drinking or bathing water, as well as the necessary work to know the economic and therapeutic values of the water source by performing geological study. The Decree-Law is divided as follows: Research Authorization (Chap. 2); Works Authorization (Chap. 3); Resorts Exploring Mineral Waters and Organizations Exploiting Table Waters (Chap. 4); Supervision of Mineral Water Exploration Stations and Organizations Exploring Drinking Table Waters or Spas (Chap. 5); Sale of mineral, thermal, gas, table or end-use waters (Chap. 6); Chemical Classification of Mineral Waters (Chap. 7); Classification of Mineral Water Sources (Chap. 8); Taxation (Chap. 9); Final Provisions (Chap. 10).
