Decree No. 10.713 providing for the Interministerial Chamber for Food and Nutritional Security.

This Decree provides for the Interministerial Chamber for Food and Nutritional Security, a component of the National System for Food and Nutritional Security, created by Law No. 11.346 of 15 September 2006. The Interministerial Chamber is a consultative collegiate body, designed to promote the articulation and integration of the bodies and entities of the federal public administration related to ​​food and nutrition security sector. The Chamber is responsible to: I - prepare, based on the National Food and Nutritional Security Policy, established by Decree No. 7272 of 25 August 2010, the National Food and Nutritional Security Plan, indicating guidelines, goals, sources of resources and monitoring instruments, monitoring and evaluating its implementation; II - coordinate the execution of the National Food and Nutrition Security Policy and the National Food and Nutrition Security Plan, through: a) the permanent dialogue between bodies and entities related to the area of ​​food and nutrition security; and b) follow-up on the proposals of the Pluriannual Plan, the Budget Guidelines Law and the Annual Budget Law related to the area of ​​food and nutrition security; III - monitor and evaluate the allocation and application of resources in related actions and programmes in the Multi-Year Plan, in the Budget Guidelines Law and in the Annual Budget Law; IV - monitor and evaluate the results and impacts of the National Food and Nutrition Security Policy and the National Food and Nutrition Security Plan; V - articulate and encourage the integration of state and district food and nutrition security policies and plans; and VI - define the criteria and procedures for participating in the National Food and Nutrition Security System.
