Abstract
This Decree regulates art. 10-A of Law No. 1.283 of 18 December 1950, and Law No. 13.860 of 18 July 2019 providing for the elaboration and commercialization of food products of animal origin produced in an artisanal way that fit the definitions provided for in this Decree. Its regulations will receive artisanal identification seals, in addition to the seal of the official inspection body, and may be marketed in the national territory. Food products of animal origin produced in an artisanal way, with their own characteristics and methods, traditional, cultural or regional, will be identified by a unique seal. Artisanal cheeses made using traditional methods, with territorial, regional or cultural linkage and valorization, which fit the definitions provided for in Law No. 13.860 of 2019, will be identified by a unique seal with the indication Artisanal cheese. The federal, state, municipal and district agriculture and livestock bodies are authorized to grant the seals referred to artisanal food products of animal origin, in accordance with the provisions of this Decree and in complementary technical standards. The requirements for granting the seals will be simplified and adapted to the dimensions and purpose of the enterprise. The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply will establish and make available, within 180 days a digital platform for the National Register of Artisanal Products with the seal Artisanal cheese "Queijo Artesanal", whose data will be provided by the agriculture and livestock bodies of the States, Municipalities and the Federal District.
