Decree No. 11.332 approving the Structure and the Demonstrative Table of Positions and Trust Functions of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock.

This Decree approves the Structure and the Demonstrative Table of Positions and Trust Functions of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock. This Ministry has the following responsibilities: agricultural policy, covering production, marketing and rural insurance; agricultural production and promotion, covering agriculture, livestock, agroindustry, agroenergy, rubber farming and, in conjunction with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, planted forests; agricultural information; agricultural defense and food safety; research in agriculture, livestock, agroforestry systems, aquaculture and agroindustry; conservation and protection of genetic resources of interest to agriculture and food; technical assistance and rural extension; irrigation and water infrastructure for agricultural production, subject to the competences of the Ministry of Integration and Regional Development; meteorological and climatological information for use in agriculture; sustainable rural development; conservation and management of soil and water, intended for the agricultural and livestock production process and agroforestry systems; good agricultural practices and animal welfare; cooperatives and associations in agriculture; rural energy and agroenergy, including rural electrification, etc.
