Decree No. 11.642 establishing the Productive Backyards Programme for Rural Women.

This Decree establishes the Productive Backyards Programme for Rural Women, within the scope of the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Family Agriculture and the Ministry of Development and Social Assistance, Family and Fight against Hunger, with the objective of promoting the economic autonomy of rural women through: I - structuring productive backyards; II - articulating women in groups or collective organizations; III - promoting public policies to support the production and sale of food; IV - accessing to equipment, machines, implements, utensils and necessary inputs for the installation or expansion of productive backyards; and V - promoting social technologies for access to water. The Management Committee of the Rural Women's Productive and Economic Organization Programme, established by Decree No. 11.452 of 22 March 2023, is responsible for organizing, implementing, articulating, accompanying, monitoring and supervising the actions provided for in this Programme.
