Decree No. 11.957 providing for the Public Forest Management Commission.

This Decree provides for the Public Forest Management Commission. It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned Commission, under the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change. The Commission is responsible for exercising, at the federal level, the duties of a consultative body provided for in Law No. 11.284 of 2 March 2006, and, in particular to perform the following activities: advise, evaluate and propose guidelines for the management of public forests in the Union; express its opinion on the Union's Multi-Year Plan for Forest Granting (PPAOF); and perform the duties of an advisory body to the Brazilian Forest Service (SFB).
