Abstract
This Decree establishes the State Programme for Rapid Response to Avian Influenza in the State of Mato Grosso, with the objective of intensifying sanitary surveillance, protecting poultry production, and mitigating socioeconomic impacts resulting from outbreaks of the disease. The Programme's guidelines are: I- preventive and continuous action by state agricultural surveillance in regions with high poultry production density; II- establishment of rapid response protocols in case of notification of avian influenza in wild or farmed animals; III- technical and logistical support to small and medium-sized producers in sanitary emergency situations; IV- continuous training of professionals in the area of animal health, especially state agricultural defense employees; V- establishment of partnerships with universities, research centres and federal agencies.
