Abstract
This Decree approves (in Annexes) the new structure of the Brazilian Institute for the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (IBAMA). This Structure, consisting of 7 Chapters and 3 Annexes, establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned institution, under the Ministry of Environment, which is entitled to: implement National and Federal policies in the sector of environment and ecosystem preservation, related to licensing and control of environmental and wildlife quality standards, authorization for natural resources use and control the environmental legislation.
