Decree No. 8.892 establishing the State Programme for the Development of Photovoltaic Solar Energy - Goiás Solar Programme.

This Decree establishes the State Programme for the Development of Photovoltaic Solar Energy (Goiás Programa Solar). Its objectives are: promote the use of photovoltaic solar energy in urban and rural areas, increasing the share of photovoltaic solar energy in the State's electrical matrix, bringing greater energy security and diversification in serving energy in the region, as well as contributing to improving the quality of citizens' lives; encourage the self-production of electrical energy by individuals and legal entities, through micro-generation and mini-generation systems, distributed from photovoltaic solar sources; stimulate the development of the production chain and the photovoltaic solar energy market in the State; promote the training and qualification of human resources to work at all stages of the photovoltaic solar energy production chain; stimulate the establishment of companies and the generation of new local jobs; encourage the establishment of photovoltaic solar plants in regions with the greatest potential; expand environmental sustainability and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, etc.
