Abstract
This Decree regulates the Environmental Reserve Quota, established by Article 44 of Law No. 12.651, of 25 May 2012. The Brazilian Forest Service (SFB), an agency within the organizational structure of the Ministry of the Environment, is responsible for issuing the CRA, pursuant to Article 45 of Law No. 12.651 of 2012. The right to issue CRA will be guaranteed to the owner only when the following requirements are met: inclusion of the property in the CAR; formal request by the owner through Sicar; supporting report issued by the competent state or district agency or by an accredited entity, through Sicar, in order to ensure control and supervision by the SFB; and approval of the location of the legal reserve under the terms of art. 14 of Law No. 12.651 of 2012, identified in the statement of the status of the information declared in the CAR provided for in art. 20 of Decree No. 8.235 of 5 May 2014.
