Abstract
This Decree regulates art. 10-A of Law No. 1.283 on the process of food inspection of animal origin artisanal products. It specifies that artisanal food products will be identified by a label indicating the seal logo ARTE. ARTE seal logo template will be established by act of the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply. Artisanal food products receiving the ARTE seal will be recognized and marketed in the national territory. The agricultural and livestock organs of the States and the Federal District are authorized to grant the ARTE seal to artisanal food products produced in artisanal manner, in accordance with this Decree and its complementary norms. The requirements for granting the ARTE seal will be simplified and appropriate to the size and purpose of the enterprise. The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply is responsible for: establish the good agricultural practices in the artisanal production and in the manufacture of artisanal products of meat, fish, eggs, milk, bee products and their derivatives, necessary for the granting of the ARTE seal; establish, in a complementary technical standard, the procedures for verifying the conformity of the ARTE seal concession; promote health education and technical qualification in good agricultural practices for manufacturing artisanal products; create and manage the National Register of Artisanal Products, data of which will be provided by the States and the Federal District that have granted the ARTE seal; elaborate guidelines for good agricultural practices in the artisanal production, etc.
