Abstract
This Decree creates the Committee of Research and Development Activities in the Amazon (CAPDA) as a deliberative body, linked to the Ministry of Economy. It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of CAPDA entitled to perform the following activities: manage resources referred to in art. 2 of Law No. 8.387 of 1991; define research, development and innovation programmes and projects to be contemplated with FNDCT resources, indicate priorities and evaluate the results of the developed projects; approve the consolidation of the reports dealt with in this Decree, safeguarding the confidential information of companies and institutions; establish control criteria so that the operational expenses of implementation, maintenance, monitoring, evaluation and dissemination of results incident to the FNDCT, comply with the limit resources collected annually; establish programmes and areas that will be considered priorities, and define the guidelines for operation, monitoring and effectiveness of programmes; evaluate results of programmes and projects; define norms and guidelines, etc.
