Abstract
This Interministerial Norm, consisting of 4 articles, establishes the prohibition of fishing the oceanic whitetip shark (Carcharhinus longimanus) fish species. It specifies protecting measures in order to prohibit the above mentioned fish species within the waters under Brazilian jurisdiction. In particular it applies for: fishing, possession on board, transhipment, landing, storage, transport and trade of whitetip shark. Fishing vessels, professional fishing or sport fishing persons, as well as fisheries industries, performing in disagreement with protecting measures, established by this Norm, will be cancelled from the fishing register, authorizations, inscription, licence, permission or any cadastre of fishing activity.
