Law No. 10.259 establishing the Native Vegetation Recovery Unit in the State of Pará.

This Law establishes the Native Vegetation Recovery Unit in the State of Pará, considered to be a specially protected territorial space, already affected by anthropogenic actions or natural events, with degraded vegetation or deforested by clear-cutting, with priority destination for the forestry cover rehabilitation. The objectives of the Native Vegetation Recovery Unit are: I - recovery of native vegetation, biodiversity, local fauna and flora; II - prevent degradation and invasion of public lands; and III - contribute to mitigating the effects of climate change and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
