Abstract
This Law creates the Food Security Programme for Homeless People within the State of Rio de Janeiro, in accordance with Article 5 of State Law No. 9.302 of 10 June 2021. The following aspects will be taken into consideration in the partnerships envisaged in this Food Security Programme: guaranteeing the right to food for homeless people through partnerships between Specialised Social Assistance Reference Centres (CREAs), Specialised Reference Centres for the Homeless Population (Centros Pop) and popular restaurants; seeking support from the private sector (companies and supply centres) for the delivery of basic food baskets or food kits with essential items.
