Abstract
This Law, composed of 42 articles divided in VIII Chapters, regulates the provisions set under article 225 of Federal Constitution, establishes security measures and control procedures for the activities using Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) and their derivates, establishes the National Council for Bio-security (CNBS), reorganises the Bio-security Technical Committee (CTNBio), and rules on the National Policy for Biological Security (PNB). Finally, the Law defines the applicable civil and administrative liability and provides the related crimes and penalties.
