Abstract
This Law amends Law No. 7.596 of 2011 to strengthen the regulatory framework for environmental control in the State of Pará by updating the State Technical Registry of Potentially Polluting or Natural Resource‑Using Activities and establishing the Environmental Control and Inspection Fee of Pará (TFA‑PA). Its main objectives are to enhance the State’s capacity to monitor, control, and supervise activities that may cause environmental degradation; ensure mandatory registration of individuals and entities engaged in such activities; align state environmental governance with the national environmental information system; and provide a stable financial mechanism to support environmental oversight through a fee linked to regulatory police power, while allowing coordination and compensation with federal and municipal environmental fees and safeguarding exemptions for public entities, traditional populations, and subsistence activities.
