Law No. 11.444 establishing the State Water Consumption Rationalization campaign within the State of Rio Grande do Norte.

This Law establishes the State Water Consumption Rationalization campaign within the State of Rio Grande do Norte, as a way of guaranteeing water resource for current and future generations. This Campaign will be implemented through: advertising campaigns of educational nature; inclusion of educational and informative activities within the scope of the State's public education network, extendable to the municipal public education network; partnerships with municipalities or other public or private entities to: a) inform the population in order to raise awareness about the need to reduce water consumption; b) encourage the population to reuse wastewater, providing guidance and technical support and instructing on the uses to which this resource can be used; c) encourage the installation of rainwater harvesting, storage and use systems, providing guidance and technical support to the population and instructing them on rainwater uses.
