Law No. 11.617 prohibiting the use of animals for the development, experiments and testing of cosmetic, personal hygiene products, perfumes and their components in the State of Rio Grande do Norte.

This Law prohibits the use of animals for the development, experiments and testing of cosmetic, personal hygiene products, perfumes and their components in the State of Rio Grande do Norte. Individuals, including those holding a public, civil or military role, as well as any educational institution or establishment, social organization or legal entity, whether profit- or non-profit-making, of a public or private nature, that attempt to commit an act against this Law are subject to sanctions provided for in art. 72 of Federal Law No. 9.605 of 12 February 1998.
