This Law establishes clear procedural rules for the application of the precautionary measures of destruction or inutilization of products, by‑products, instruments, and equipment used in the commission of environmental infractions within the scope of state environmental enforcement in Mato Grosso. Its main objectives are to ensure legal certainty, proportionality, and oversight in the use of this exceptional measure, prevent the reuse of instruments that may cause further environmental harm, protect public safety and environmentally sensitive areas, and safeguard due administrative process through prior authorization, technical justification, documentation, and subsequent review by the competent authority.
