Law No. 13.250 establishing the State Policy for the development, strengthening and encouragement of the production and use of Sustainable Fuel in vehicles and aviation, as a measure to subsidize rural and urban mobility with low emissions of carbon dioxide and/or other polluting gases.

This Decree establishes the State Policy for Sustainable Fuel in Mato Grosso, aiming to promote the development, strengthening, and use of renewable and low‑carbon energy sources across both ground transportation and aviation. Its core objectives include reducing environmental impacts, improving quality of life, and encouraging the efficient use of natural resources by fostering local production and adoption of biofuels, electric and hybrid vehicles, and other forms of clean energy. The policy also seeks to expand the infrastructure necessary for sustainable mobility, such as strategically located charging points for electric vehicles, while promoting the preservation of natural resources that enable renewable energy generation. In addition, the Decree focuses on stimulating economic and technological advancement by increasing Mato Grosso’s competitiveness in national and international sustainable energy markets. It encourages the installation of clean‑energy industries—especially in economically stagnant municipalities—to generate employment, reduce regional inequality, and strengthen the state’s industrial base. The policy also supports workforce training, technological research, and innovation in sustainable fuels for vehicles and aviation, while enabling partnerships with national and international bodies to develop advanced technologies in hybrid mobility and renewable aviation fuels.
