Abstract
This Law aims to strengthen the fish farming sector in the State of Paraíba by ensuring that fish farmers are able to participate in events organized, sponsored, or supported by state public administration bodies where food products are marketed. Its principal objective is to promote the visibility, commercialization, and economic development of aquaculture products by guaranteeing equal opportunities for fish farmers to access public events compatible with their activities. To achieve these objectives, the law requires event organizers to provide adequately located spaces and the necessary infrastructure for the exhibition and sale of fish-farming products. It also establishes enforcement mechanisms through administrative sanctions, including warnings, fines, and suspension of events in cases of non-compliance, while providing for the accountability of public institutions that fail to observe the law. Overall, the legislation is intended to support local aquaculture producers, expand market opportunities, and encourage the growth of the fish-farming industry within the state.
