Law No. 14.457 establishing the Employ More Women Programme ("Programa Emprega + Mulheres").

This Law, consisting of 35 articles divided into ten Chapters, establishes the Employ More Women Programme ("Programa Emprega + Mulheres") and amends the Consolidation of Labour Laws, approved by Decree-Law No. 5.452 of 1 May 1943, Law No. 11.770 of 9 September 2008, Law No. 13.999 of 18 May 2020 and Law No. 12.513 of 26 October 2011. This Programme aims at the insertion and maintenance of women in the labour market through the implementation of the following measures: I - supporting early childhood parents: a) payment of daycare reimbursement; and b) maintenance or subsidy of early childhood education institutions by the autonomous social services; II - support parents by making the work regime more flexible: a) teleworking; b) part-time regime; c) special workday compensation regime; d) 12 hours worked for 36 uninterrupted hours of rest, when the activity allows; e) anticipation of individual vacations; and f) flexible entry and exit times; III - qualification of women, in strategic areas for professional advancement: a) suspension of the employment contract for professional qualification purposes; and b) encouraging the filling of vacancies in qualification courses offered by the national apprenticeship services for women and prioritizing low-income women who are victims of domestic and family violence; IV - support women's return to work after the end of maternity leave: a) suspension of the employment contract of employed parents to monitor the development of their children; and b) easing the enjoyment of the extension of maternity leave, as provided for in Law No. 11.770 of 9 September 2008; V - recognition of good practices in promoting the employability of women, through the establishment of the "Emprega + Mulher" Seal; VI - preventing and combating sexual harassment and other forms of violence at work; and VII - encouragement of microcredit for women.
