Law No. 1.493 establishing the State Policy for Agricultural Development within the State of Roraima.

This Law establishes the State Policy for Agricultural Development within the State of Roraima. The Policy aims at performing the following activities: create the rural producer support centre; encourage organized groups of rural producers in the State; institute the State Policy for the Acquisition of Food from Family Farming; promote training and the dissemination of sustainable agricultural technologies; support the development of agro-industries that use part of the raw materials produced in the State; instituting financial compensation, due to economic restrictions resulting from environmental regulations for farmers; encouraging the practice of organic farming; encouraging the application of good agricultural practices, etc.
