Abstract
This Law prohibits hunting activity in the State of São Paulo. It establishes the prohibition of hunting, harvesting, catching followed by direct killing of the animal species, as well as destruction of nests, shelters or other resources necessary for maintenance of animal life. The prohibition covers domestic or domesticated animals, wild, native or exotic and their hybrids, found in public or private areas, except for synanthropic animals. Population control, management or eradication of declared species harmful or invasive cannot be carried out by natural or legal non-governmental individuals. Offences and penalties for illegal activities are appended to the text.
