Abstract
This Law regulates the entry of cattle and buffaloes into the State. It specifies that the entry into the State of animals vaccinated against foot-and-mouth disease is prohibited. Nevertheless, their entry into the State born or coming from a foot-and-mouth disease-free zone without vaccination recognized by the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) is authorized, subject to animal health requirements. Authorization for the entry of cattle and buffaloes into the State is subject to prior information from the Official Veterinary Service of the State of origin to the Companhia Integrada de Desenvolvimento Agrícola de Santa Catarina (CIDASC) about the movement of these animals, except when destined for immediate slaughter in establishments with Official Inspection Service or intended for EPEs for the export of live animals.
