Law No. 18.476 establishing the Agro-Friendly School Programme in the State Public Education Network of Pernambuco.

This Law establishes the Agro-Friendly School (Escola Amiga do Agro) Programme in the State Public Education Network of Pernambuco. The Programme aims at promoting interaction between students from Pernambuco and the agricultural reality of the State, through pedagogical activities aimed at primary and secondary school students in public schools. The objectives of the Agro-Friendly School Programme are: contribute to the academic training and social experience of children and young people in the State; eliminate distortions regarding the socioeconomic functions of agriculture in Pernambuco; encourage students from Pernambuco to carry out extension actions related to rural areas and agricultural activities; disseminate the strategic role of agriculture in building the social and economic development of the State; and complement the training of students from Pernambuco through integration with the rural community during practice.
