Law No. 22.306 creating the State Policy to Promote New Agriculture within the State of Goiás.

This Law creates the State Policy to Promote New Agriculture. The State Policy aims to promote the transition to more sustainable and efficient agricultural production systems through practices that especially include: I – agroecology; II – organic production; III – family farming; IV – agroforestry system; V – precision agriculture; VI – renewable energy; and VII – other practices that respect the environment and local communities. The State Policy will be implemented through coordinated actions between State bodies responsible, in particular, for agriculture and the environment and rural development, in partnership with interested segments of organized civil society. The State Policy will include actions of: I – training for rural producers; II – promotion of organic production; III – stimulation of the agroforestry system; IV – support for family farming; V – promote precision agriculture; VI – promote the use of renewable energy; VII – encourage research and innovation in the agricultural area; VIII – encourage the granting of incentives for research and innovation in the agricultural area; IX – support the creation of incubators and accelerators for companies focused on the agricultural sector, with the aim of stimulating entrepreneurship and innovation in this area, etc.
