Abstract
This Law establishes deadlines for the regularization of dams in water courses within the State of Goiás. The registration of dams in the State Information System on Dam Safety (SEISB) and the State Secretariat for the Environment and Sustainable Development (SEMAD) must be carried out by 30 April 2024, under penalty of fines and other legal sanctions. Applications for exemption from concession or granting of dams must be made to SEMAD by 31 May 2024. The State Public Power, through its competent bodies, will promote by 31 December 2024 the corrective dam licensing in water courses, upon request from interested parties, granting the following discounts on possible fines for installing or operating the enterprise without authorization.
