Law No. 23.704 providing for the industrial development policy in the southern region of the State.

This Law provides for the industrial development policy in the southern region of Minas Gerais. The industrial development policy for the southern region of the State will be implemented through support and development programmes for small and micro-enterprises, industrial development and industrial attraction and promotion. The policy will be formulated and implemented in compliance with the following guidelines: encouraging the industrialization of the southern region of the State, taking advantage of its technological, agro-industrial and coffee-growing vocation, with a view to its economic and social development; attracting companies to occupy industrial areas; encouraging the creation of areas for the installation of industries, especially those focused on the technological and agro-industrial sector; promotion and continuity of the process of improving and restructuring the roads used to transport products from the southern region of the State, etc.
