Abstract
This Law establishes the State Policy for the Promotion of Formal Employment in the State of Goiás, aimed at addressing precarious working conditions and encouraging the formalization of employment relationships. The law is grounded in principles such as human dignity, the social value of work, worker protection and valuation, equality in wages, and respect for labor rights. It also explicitly promotes diversity and non-discrimination in hiring practices, requiring attention to ethnic, racial, sexual, age, and gender dimensions in employment. The policy includes directives focused on combating practices such as labor analogous to slavery, ensuring compliance with occupational safety standards, and raising awareness about the risks associated with informal employment. It promotes educational and outreach actions—such as training sessions, informational materials, and partnerships with business associations—to support the formalization process and improve access to formal labor markets. The law further provides for monitoring and evaluation based on official data on informality and on the effectiveness of implemented measures, enabling adjustments to strengthen employment formalization policies.
