Law No. 24.464 providing for the State policy to promote the creation of inter-municipal agricultural consortia.

This Law provides for the State policy to promote the creation of inter-municipal agricultural consortia. The policy objectives are: I – promote inter-municipal agricultural consortia offering health inspection services; II – strengthen the State System for Inspection and Supervision of Animal Products (Sisei-MG), established by Law No. 23.955 of 24 September 2021. The consortia aim to: I – optimize the use of human, technical and financial resources of participating municipalities; II – promote sustainable rural development; III – promote the expansion of markets and trade in agricultural and agro-industrial products; IV – promote the productive inclusion of rural producers through the formal inclusion of agricultural and agro-industrial products in private and institutional markets; V – increase health safety and the quality of agricultural products; VI – prevent and combat economic fraud in agricultural production; VII – promote the income-generating activities in the agricultural sector and the appreciation of rural workers.
