Abstract
This Law establishes, within the scope of the State of Amapá, the State Policy for the Empowerment of Women, aimed at establishing guidelines and general rules, as well as basic criteria for ensuring, promoting and protecting the full and equal exercise of all human rights and fundamental freedoms by women. The State Policy for the Empowerment of Women will be implemented with the general aim of strengthening and articulating democratic mechanisms and instances of dialogue, as well as joint action between civil society and the federal, State and municipal public authorities. The general guidelines of the State Policy are: recognition of women's social participation as a personal right; cross-cutting and intersectoral integration of the Executive, Legislative and Judiciary bodies; articulation strategies for the implementation of this Policy; expansion of alternatives for women's economic integration, providing professional training and incorporation into the labour market; support for professional training and incorporation into the labour market; encouragement for women's effective participation in politics; support for entrepreneurship, etc.
